From the official press release:

HookBang Launches First Shared Multiplayer Augmented Reality Game

AUSTIN, Texas, March 20, 2018 — HookBang, a leading technology, design, and gaming company, has launched a groundbreaking new Augmented Reality (AR) application in the Google Play Store. For the first time, a shared, real-time, multiplayer experience is possible in an Augmented Reality app on your phone or tablet. Nightenfell is a multiplayer game where up to four players use separate phones or tablets to see the same shared play area, and each other, from different angles. The app is being offered for $1.99 initially for Android, and soon for iOS. Learn more about how the app works and download it here: http://nightenfell.com

Nightenfell is unique among Augmented Reality games because it is one of the first to offer a true shared multiplayer experience. In Nightenfell, up to four players can connect at the same time, and by aligning their phones or tablets, can see the same playing area from different perspectives. The players are then able to interact with each other and the environment, and see the effects of this interaction in real-time.

Although Nightenfell is an impressive example of the shared, multiplayer AR technology developed by HookBang, the game is also designed to be just as fun as a single-player experience. In the game, players are tasked with defending a magical realm from comets plummeting from the sky above, all in a shared, immersive 3D space. It’s up to you and your friends to blast the comets before they destroy the peaceful realm below! Reminiscent of the 1980s game Missile Command, Nightenfell offers up new twists, magic spells, and of course, the wonder of Augmented Reality. To try the game, look for Nightenfell in the Google Play store or click here to download it directly.
